Tips for Material and Format Selection

A mural completes a room and gives it an elegant, calm, or lively ambiance. Since we spend a lot of time indoors, the desired atmosphere plays a crucial role. My photography supports this effect, harmonizes with existing furnishings, or deliberately sets new accents. This creates an interplay of mood, feeling, and message that gives every room a special touch.

To find the right finish, you have a variety of materials, formats, and frames to choose from. On this page, you'll find suggestions if you're still unsure which combination best suits your style and your space. For this purpose, I have created various product images and room situations that illustrate proportions and moods. Which format is right?

When choosing a size, a conscious look is worthwhile: large formats work best with distance and unfold their effect in the room, while smaller formats are ideal for close viewing and emphasize intimate details. You can use the following values as a guide:

Small = up to 30 x 20 cm

Medium = 60 x 40 cm

Large = 90 x 60 cm and larger

The rule is: Small format – for close-up viewing, Medium format – ideal for small rooms,
Large format – impressive for large walls.

Which material has which properties?

Acrylic Glass

Properties:
Glossy, brilliant colors, modern high-quality effect.

Recommendation:
Perfect for art, landscapes, and floral motifs with strong colors and contrasts.

Canvas

Properties:
Textured surface, homely, light.

Recommendation:
Ideal for warm floral motifs or large landscapes, for cozy living spaces.

HD Metal Print

Properties:
Extreme color brilliance, robust and weather-resistant.

Recommendation:
Perfect for black and white landscapes or gold motifs.

Forex

Properties:
Light, stable, modern-matte, cost-effective.

Recommendation:
Optimal for large formats, whether landscape or floral motif, clear lines and modern, abstract motifs.

Frames
You can choose the high-quality Stockholm and Vienna wooden frames. All frames are black, optionally with a passe-partout in white, black, or wide anthracite.

Properties:
High-quality craftsmanship, in classic black. You receive every frame with high-quality museum glass to avoid reflection. Optionally with an elegant
passe-partout in bright white for a friendly, light effect, in black to enhance, or with a wide anthracite to emphasize the motif.

Recommendation 1: Frame with wide anthracite passe-partout:
Ideal for stylishly presenting photographs – from minimalist motifs to shimmering gold highlights. Sets strong accents and gives every picture an exclusive gallery look. Create a picture wall and combine according to your taste.

Recommendation 2: Opt for multi-panel works like triptychs or diptychs. Especially effective in combination on acrylic glass, where colors truly shine, or in metal print for black and white motifs. In combination, the works appear even more expressive and harmonious.
